Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyse you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are. (Bernice Johnson Reagon)

It was the 29th staging of the annual Hastings Lions Club-organised event and surely one of the coldest. Temperatures were barely above freezing point, although the biting easterly wind was at least helping the runners over the closing stretch along the seafront. Hastings & St. Leonards Observer
Mind you, you had to run just over 11 miles (17.7 kms), more than 5 (8 kms) of them uphill, before you could benefit from the "biting easterly wind" to help push you along the last 2 miles (3.2 kms) to the finish line!
Grey Owl appears on the medal given to all participants.

Ummm, nowadays I can only run 10 kilometres in 1 hour. I need to train a little more.
