Once a newspaper touches a story, the facts are lost forever, even to the protagonists. (Norman Mailer)

Here is a newspaper webquest which I would love you to do (but we don't have time) and here is some information on active and passive voice. Pay special attention to the section on choosing passive voice. This too is an absolutely brilliant summary of reasons for using the passive - I couldn't have expressed it better myself!

The most difficut about the passive voice is when someone does some work for us, and we have to use the construction "have something done".Eg= I´m having my hair cut this afternoon.

Do you think so, María? It's just one construction. Help me finish the list concerning things we should have done at school:
We should have the windows changed (double glazing).
We should have the walls re-tiled.
We should have the car park painted.
We should have the heater fixed.
etc.
etc.
